Delete your account
Last updated October 13, 2026
This page explains how to delete your online account and its data for Soggy Boats, the paper boat game made by Nihar. It covers the website and the Soggy Boats apps for iPhone, iPad and Android.
Do you have an online account?
You have one if you created an account with an email address or signed in with Google. You also have one if you played online in a version of the game with online features: the game creates a guest account, shown as Guest 1234, the first time you finish an endless run or a speedrun, or open an Everyone board, while online. Versions of the game without online features never create an account.
Delete it in the game
This is the fastest way, and it deletes everything right away. Open the Endless or Speedrun screen and use the button in the account row. It reads Delete account when you are signed in with email or Google, and Delete online data when you play as a guest. If your version of the game does not have the button yet, use email instead.
Or ask by email
If you no longer have the game, or cannot use the button, email hello@soggy.boats and ask us to delete your Soggy Boats account. So we can find the right account:
- send the email from the address on your account, the one you signed in with by email or with Google, or
- if you played as a guest, or cannot use that address, tell us your board name and roughly when you last played. Guests see their name on the Endless screen, after Playing as.
We will delete the account and its data and reply to confirm.
Signing out does not delete anything online, and neither does deleting the app or clearing the site's data.
What we delete
- Your account in Firebase Authentication, including your email address, your password hash and any profile details Google shared when you signed in with Google
- Your name and scores on every Everyone board: your best endless distance, and your best speedrun times with their splits
- Your run history: the row stored for every endless run and every speedrun
What we keep
Nothing linked to your account. Google, which runs Firebase, and Vercel, which hosts the website, may keep security and server logs for a limited time under their own policies.
If you play online again after the deletion, the game starts a new guest account.
Saves on your device are separate
Your game progress is saved on your device, and deleting your online account does not touch it. To remove it, delete the app or clear this site's data in your browser. Reset progress in Settings clears levels, gems, riders and the boards for that device, and keeps your settings.
